Flower pot carrot craft
- Clay Pot – 4 “in Diameter
- Clay Saucer – 4 “in diameter
- Craft felt sheet 9 “x 12” – olive green
- Natural Jute Cord – Dollar Store
- Acrylic craft paint – bright orange Primary orange, dark orange
- Glue gun and glue sticks
- Permanent marker – black
Gather all materials, then remove all packaging and labels. Basecoat clay pot and saucer with primary orange acrylic craft paint. Let the paint dry and apply a second coat if necessary.
Once the clay pot and saucer are dry, apply random swipes of bright orange and dark orange acrylic paint to replicate the texture of a carrot.
Measure a four inch by nine inch rectangle of olive green craft felt, then use scissors to cut it out.
Fringe the 9-inch length of the olive craft felt with scissors, leaving a 1-inch section intact for rolling. Cut some narrow and some wide to recreate a carrot top.
Using a glue gun and glue sticks, apply glue to the solid section of the felt and roll it as tightly as possible. Work in small sections and take your time with this step.
Using a glue gun and glue sticks, attach the felt carrot top to the center of the clay saucer. Hold it in place until the glue cools.
Measure and cut three lengths of natural jute yarn at a time. Wrap the string around the bottom of the pot and secure it with a loop at the top in the middle. To finish off, tie the ends of the string.
